Duran Family Customizes The Ranch Model

After losing their home to a fire, the Duran’s purchased a prefab home with customizations to fit both their needs and the needs of their many pets. Learn how Clayton Homes of New Braunfels helped them build the perfect home.

Moraima and Roland’s Clayton home journey started following the loss of their home to a fire. They began searching for a new home, and, in the process, discovered Clayton Built® prefab homes.

“We did our research online and learned about the building process. We liked how they were energy efficient and how prefabs were built,” said Moraima.

Eager to learn more about the homes and tour different floor plan options, the Durans headed to Clayton Homes of New Braunfels. Home consultant Jeni Ware greeted them and explained the process of getting a Clayton Home, from ordering to building to delivery. Moraima and Roland immediately loved Jeni and how helpful she was throughout the whole process. Their decision was made: they would be purchasing a home from Clayton Homes.

They decided to purchase the Ranch model but wanted to make several customizations to make the model their dream home. The New Braunfels team was up to the challenge!

Personalizations were made in the several rooms, the porch, and the couple chose to add on another bedroom to their home. The kitchen island was made bigger, a large tub to soak in was added for Moraima, and a walk-in shower was installed for Roland. They also extended their back porch to make hosting dinners a walk in the park.

Customizations for the humans in the Duran home were not all that were needed. Features for their pets included a larger pantry for their cat’s food and supplies and an entire room for their three dogs, Lady, Girl, and Luna. The dogs’ room features a dog shower and linoleum floors to make for an easy clean-up when the pups track in mud from the Texas outdoors. Finally, their horse has a large outdoor space to roam freely in that also allows the Durans to talk to him with ease.
